What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I’ve always had an interest in people. More specifically, I wanted to know how the choices we make or how experiencing life’s unfortunate circumstances could have a lasting impact on our lives. It was that interest that led me to study sociology and later pursue a career in mental health counseling. My career as a therapist includes working in community mental health, providing treatment to at-risk youth and families, and working in residential addiction treatment.

How do your core values shape your approach to therapy?
Over the course of our lives, we will face struggles, endure hardships, and experience what at the time may feel like the most unbearable sadness and pain imaginable. I believe that we each have within us the ability to overcome these adversities. I’m here to provide the support you need at the time you need it the most.
What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?
I view the evolving mental health landscape as a game changer. I'm excited about the ability to reach anyone and everyone who wants therapy. I think being able to access treatment from the comfort and privacy of your home may help in reducing the stigma of mental health in many communities.
