What was your path to becoming a life coach?
I’ve always had a passion for self-improvement and thought work. After a career in fundraising and events, I was ready to take my passion to the next level and knew that life coaching was the next step for me. From the beginning of my coaching journey, it was clear to me that I wanted to work with people who were looking for love—and I knew that transition and personal growth coaching could help people find it. My coaching focuses on your core energy, what your desired life looks like, and how I can support you to get there.
What should someone know about working with you?
I coach from the inside—finding the root of your challenges and what is blocking your success. At our first session, we will look holistically at your life and the areas in which you are searching for change. I ask questions and empower you to dig deeply within yourself to find your life's desires. You are in charge of our relationship and I follow your core energy throughout our sessions, while pointing out your inner blocks and limiting beliefs. We will work together on a new set of beliefs that support your growth. While we will have one session per week via Zoom, between sessions, I sometimes assign homework—and I’m available throughout the week via text or Voxer to support you when needed.
What advice would you give to someone who is hesitant to try coaching?
If something scares you but you know it will be good for you, go for it! Often, the reason we don't go after our goals is because of fear. Our fear never goes away, but through coaching, we can learn how to handle it, where our beliefs are limiting us, and how to shift our inner blocks—all in order to see possibility and choice for our lives. Life coaching helps you change your mindset so that fear and doubt no longer run your life. It helps you get unstuck and transition into your dream life.
What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?
There is a great deal of information available to anyone looking to change their life and their thoughts. People are starting to understand that seeking a mental health professional is something to be proud of—it means you’re taking responsibility and looking for positive change. I am hopeful for our future because I see so many people speaking openly about mental health and seeking to better their lives through coaching or different forms of therapy.
Why would someone choose to work with a coach?
A life coach focuses on your future, not your past. I work with you to get you out of your "box" and away from the drama that has kept you there for so long. If you are interested in personal growth, focusing your energy on your future, and committing to changing your life, coaching is the next step for you. A coach not only inspires and supports you, but they also keep you on track toward your internal and external goals. Working with a coach helps you gain clarity, perspective, and make the changes necessary in order to create a life that you love.
