“Most of us struggle at some point in our lives; feelings of stress, anxiety, or depression are more common than we think and can cause difficulties with relationships, work, and self-esteem.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I have been dedicated to mental health and wellness for over 10 years as a school social worker, therapist, and athletic coach. In working with children, families, adults, and couples, it has been clear that therapy can be a great support for anyone, especially those looking to vent, be heard, and feel understood.
What should someone know about working with you?
Most of us struggle at some point in our lives; feelings of stress, anxiety, or depression are more common than we think and can cause difficulties with relationships, work, and self-esteem. I provide education, support, and motivation to build on your strengths and assist you in overcoming obstacles.
How do your own core values shape your approach to therapy?
I believe in the power of giving back to your own community through a variety of means, including advocacy, counseling, mentoring, coaching, teaching, and investing. I use these skills to support individuals in their healing and ensure they gain access to community resources to alleviate societal stressors, particularly those faced by Black and Latinx communities.
