What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I recognize the profound importance that inner transformation can have on a person’s process of developing joy and tapping into limitless potential. Upon completing formal studies in counseling psychology, I continued studies in diverse modalities, looking for options that could provide positive and long-lasting changes in how people viewed themselves, their ability to love, and their ability to relate to others. I was trained in family constellations, radical forgiveness, energy healing, exposure and response prevention, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and emotional freedom technique (tapping). I have worked in private practice and led self-development groups and seminars both in the US and abroad. I believe that a person grows from the valuable lessons that are hidden in each life experience in a way that’s similar to a butterfly going through various stages before it can fly.
What should someone know about working with you?
I am a strong believer that everyone grows and heals their own way and there is not one perfect formula. Therefore, the content of each session depends on your needs. I look to create a therapeutic space of acceptance where you feel comfortable expressing your goals and dreams and fortifying your inner belief in yourself. I would like you to feel supported in your process and trust the space that we create together so that you can achieve the changes that you seek.
Have you done any research-based work that you found particularly exciting? How does it inform your practice today?
Two of the modalities that I use that are research-based for anxiety are exposure response prevention and emotional freedom technique (tapping). Both techniques provide amazing results by decreasing fears and tapping helps people process emotional pain that interferes with their ability to be present and enjoy life.
