“Together, we will delve deep to examine and explore your thoughts and behavior patterns to better understand why certain outcomes occur.”
What should someone know about working with you?
I will help you achieve a deeper understanding of yourself by exploring feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. These maladaptive patterns can be habitual or ingrained and it can be difficult to break out of the cycle. However, therapy is helpful in regaining a better control of your life; it re-energizes your soul and wellbeing. Therapy provides you with the opportunity to be more creative and make conscious decisions. We will work through life challenges and uncover new aspects of yourself. Together, we will set therapeutic goals and ignite the momentum in your life.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
I am a licensed clinical social worker with several years of experience in the field and a passion for supporting marginalized communities. I have a strong background in the psychotherapy, assessment, and case management of adults experiencing anxiety and depression. I am also skilled at working as an advocate to individuals who may be experiencing trauma or who are dealing with discrimination. My passion is helping others find meaning and fulfillment within their lives by utilizing and providing therapy based on the principles of Restorative Justice that will improve individual and community wellbeing. I have a special interest in working with individuals and families facing adversity.
How do your own core values shape your approach to therapy?
Therapy is a safe place for self-exploration, intellectual discussion, and gaining new coping skills. It is a courageous first step toward a happier and more satisfying life. Together, we will delve deep to examine and explore your thoughts and behavior patterns to better understand why certain outcomes occur. I draw upon your inner strength to help you grow, adapt, and thrive in difficult situations.
