What should someone know about working with you?
I will help you achieve a deeper understanding of yourself by exploring feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. These maladaptive patterns can be habitual or ingrained and it can be difficult to break out of the cycle. However, therapy is helpful in regaining a better control of your life; it re-energizes your soul and wellbeing. Therapy provides you with the opportunity to be more creative and make conscious decisions. We will work through life challenges and uncover new aspects of yourself. Together, we will set therapeutic goals and ignite the momentum in your life.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
I am currently working on my doctorate in clinical social work at NYU Silver School.
How do your own core values shape your approach to therapy?
My view of therapy is that you are the expert on your own life. I will walk alongside you each week during difficult and joyous times. Therapy is a safe place for self-exploration, intellectual discussion, and gaining new coping skills. It is a courageous first step toward a happier and more satisfying life.
