Profile
“Working with me can take many forms, including a less direct talk therapy approach or a more direct approach with a modality such as EMDR.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
This is my second career; I previously spent some years working in government and in the private sector. I completed a master’s degree in 2010 and have worked as a social worker and therapist ever since.
What should someone know about working with you?
Working with me can take many forms, including a less direct talk therapy approach or a more direct approach with a modality such as EMDR. The intake is substantial and, depending on the client, can take 1-3 sessions. I enjoy working with adults at least 21 years of age.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
I generally take about 30 hours of training each year. Currently, I’m very interested in expanding my EMDR practice into areas such as autism spectrum disorders in adults.
