“My goal when working with individuals is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
In my early 20s, I discovered my personal interest in social work. I discovered my ability to make people feel comfortable by engaging in meaningful conversations about their own struggles or challenges in life. Most people will tell you that I like to listen and be helpful; this has been a part of who I am from an early age.
What should someone know about working with you?
My goal when working with individuals is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings. My therapeutic approaches are strengths-based, collaborative, empathic, and client-centered. I am dedicated to guiding and supporting individuals toward achieving personal healing and growth.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
I am certified as a substance abuse counselor and an anger management specialist. I am furthering my clinical skills in EMDR training to increase my knowledge and competency in trauma-focused care.
