“The real joy is seeing communication improve, goals achieved, and families, couples, and individuals grow to create positive forms of self-expression.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I have several years of experience in a variety of settings, including outpatient, residential treatment, and substance use centers. I have worked within the children's system of care in New Jersey throughout my career, working in different positions while growing my career from bottom (as a behavioral health counselor) to top (as the program director). Throughout my career, I have continued to educate myself and meet people where they are while continuing to help those in need and gain experience in different areas of the mental health field. I have a true passion for helping others and offering support to those who need it the most. I have enjoyed working with adolescents, adults, and families, helping them overcome obstacles. The real joy is seeing communication improve, goals achieved, and families, couples, and individuals grow to create positive forms of self-expression.
What should someone know about working with you?
I offer free consultation and build rapport at first conversation. I support you toward achieving your goals with client-centered and solution-focused techniques. I am open to helping all, especially those truly invested in their own healing. I utilize an integrated and realistic approach with talk therapy and CBT techniques as needed.
How do your own core values shape your approach to therapy?
I am straightforward, open-minded, and realistic. I have found that by being genuinely me, it invites open and honest conversation and real connections take place, with true emotions emerging.
What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?
I'm excited that mental health is actually being spoken about openly. Your mental health is one of the most important things you can work on and you should feel motivated and encouraged to do so. We all need support and guidance and that is ok. With various platforms offered, so many more people will be able to express themselves and heal, there's an undeniable beauty in that.
