Profile
“I strive to help clients improve themselves so that they can lead healthier, fulfilling lives.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
My desire to help others drove me to work in the mental health field. I am a licensed mental health counselor in New York and have worked with clients of different ages, backgrounds, genders, and mental health disorders. I strive to help clients improve themselves so that they can lead healthier, fulfilling lives.
What should someone know about working with you?
The intake process involves the client getting an email with a questionnaire, consent for treatment, and policy documentation to be completed and sent back upon finalization. Treatment progress is made when clients are stable for long periods and significantly make efforts to achieve their treatment goals. I occasionally assign homework and tasks for clients as this reinforces skills and interventions practiced in the session while serving as a way to help the client gain insight. I typically prefer to work with adults but I have experience working with children and teenagers.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
I regularly take continuing education courses, attend training, and read about new psychology materials.
What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?
Telehealth allows clients to receive care from a mental health therapist in a more convenient and accessible manner through various platforms.
