Profile
“I’m a mix of an optimistic cheerleader and a realistic teacher with a sense of humor and a direct, no-nonsense approach.”
What should someone know about working with you?
I’m a mix of an optimistic cheerleader and a realistic teacher with a sense of humor and a direct, no-nonsense approach. Therapy is an emotional balancing act and, just like any skill you’ve ever learned, it takes time to master. You need to put in the time and not just during sessions. We will be detectives, working together to figure out what’s stopping you from achieving optimal balance in your life and identifying the small, achievable tasks you can accomplish during the week to get you to your goals faster. Imagine you were learning how to do a handstand. If your legs go too forward or backward, you’ll fall. But in those moments when you are perfectly aligned, you are at peace. Therapy may feel strange until it becomes natural to you. I will guide you through every drop of effort you put in and help you yield results that will last you for the rest of your life.
What do you enjoy about counseling besides helping others?
I enjoy the challenge of working with different personalities, learning from everyone I work with, and feeling privileged to be entrusted with the inner details of each person’s mind. Every person has value and deserves the opportunity to learn how to cope with and ultimately live their best life. Enabling and witnessing the progress of each individual motivates me to view this world as a positive place to exist.
