“By discussing viable options or changes needed for social and emotional wellness, I provide the path for my clients to learn and identify positive and healthy coping skills.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
Many individuals struggle with the daily challenges life presents or with the decision-making process. By discussing viable options or changes needed for social and emotional wellness, I provide the path for my clients to learn and identify positive and healthy coping skills. I believe that the client-therapist relationship is essential in order for the client to achieve their treatment goals to become the best version of themselves. I experienced that myself with my own personal struggles. My therapist was the one who provided me with the necessary skills to be able to balance my life. Our relationship was a key factor in my treatment.
How do your core values shape your approach to therapy?
I understand the impact that one decision can make on a person’s life, as it has the potential to change the future. I know firsthand the importance of resilience. In the past, I had to adjust to a new place, learn a new language, and be exposed to a new culture. I did not allow these challenges to become a barrier. Despite all the obstacles presented, I actively pursued my dreams and did not allow my own fears to hold me back.
