“My approach to helping others is rooted in humility and the practice of radical acceptance.”
What should someone know about working with you?
I am just like you; I am a father of two little girls and I love movies, music, and sports.
My approach to helping others is rooted in humility and the practice of radical acceptance. I pride myself on meeting the client where the client is and creating a blueprint for progress from there.
How do your core values shape your approach to therapy?
My most valuable skills as a psychologist are my abilities to build rapport, make the client comfortable, and create a comfortable space to work on issues. One of my strongest character traits is empathy. This allows me to see the world through the client's eyes and imagine what it would feel like to walk in their shoes.
What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?
I have a difficult time managing my excitement about the growth of telehealth. It is a shame it took a global pandemic to truly launch it into the mainstream. Telehealth allows individuals to receive therapy that previously might not have been accessible. I am excited to be able to work with clients throughout the state of Florida now that telehealth is the norm.
