“I specialize in working with creatives, those with codependent tendencies, spiritual seekers, and people with anxiety disorders.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I began my career working in the bridal industry as an intern to a wedding dress designer. What drew me to working in bridal was the heart of the industry. I loved connecting with brides and hearing about managing their complicated family relationships, friendships, in-laws, and their relationship with their future spouse. My boss wanted to make each bride feel their absolute best on their special day. That was a message that resonated with me, as I too am passionate about guiding people to see their own beauty (both inner and outer). At school, I majored in studio art. I enjoyed studying studio art because I could do two things I love: Drawing while listening to hours of audiobooks. I loved nonfiction media about people's stories, wellness, psychological theories, and spirituality. I loved seeing my peer's work and getting to understand their stories. I learned that a picture was not just a picture but an outline of a deeper story one has to share.
What should someone know about working with you?
I believe that our suffering stems from feeling disconnected. Together, let's journey to connect you with the world around you, with others, and with yourself. Our relationship serves to show you the love, attention, and support you deserve. Together, we will work to heal the longest and most important relationship in your life: The relationship with your beautiful reflection in the mirror. We will unpack how and why you speak to yourself, meet your inner child, and understand your beliefs about your experiences. Together, we will uncover how what we unpack has led you to where you are. Together, we will reveal how rich and restoring a world with connection is. I specialize in working with creatives, those with codependent tendencies, spiritual seekers, and people with anxiety disorders.
How do your own core values shape your approach to therapy?
My core values are authenticity and connection; I believe that connection reigns supreme within our relationships with others, our stories, our memories, and ourselves. Without connection, we feel lost, unsatisfied, and discontent. To connect with yourself, one has to know, understand, and embrace who they are. Let's unpack who you are! Through our work together, I hope to guide my clients to embrace their authentic selves and reconnect with that beautiful, unique, and thriving being.
