“I work to create a warm, supportive environment that allows you to feel safe to explore your thoughts, feelings, and desires.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I’ve always been a firm believer that when possible, you should do what you love. I had the great fortune of finding my dream career. At the early age of five, I was featured in a local newspaper for handing out gifts to an organization for mental health awareness. I felt drawn to the cause at such an early age. I later understood why this felt so important to me, as I became aware of how prevalent issues regarding mental health were (both locally and nationally). I felt driven to learn how to help myself and others find an inner peacefulness that could quell anxious thoughts and energy experienced in the body and mind. Choosing psychotherapy as a career path was a perfect fit. My life experiences and my passion for helping others and teaching what I have learned and experienced leaves me well equipped to assist people in their professional and personal lives, helping them overcome what holds them back from reaching their dreams and full potential.

What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
Staying educated and informed about new industry trends is a top priority for me as a healthcare professional. Through ongoing reading, training, lectures, and retreats with expert teachers and educators, I continue to keep abreast of current trends in mental health and wellness. I explore ideas such as neuroscience for lasting happiness and inner peace, results-based strategies to overcome fear and anxiety, and psychotherapy and spirituality. Gaining new skills and certifications helps me grow my passion of offering unique and dynamic wellness programs, such as Divorcing with Dignity, Paving the Path Toward Inner Peace, Embrace Inspired Living, and more. My work is informed on a day-to-day basis by the latest, most cutting-edge scientific research on the connection of mind, body, and spirit.
How do your core values shape your approach to therapy?
I am passionate about holding the space for you to be who you truly are without judgment or the pressure to be someone or something else. I allow you to feel whatever you are feeling and think whatever you are thinking without shame and without the pressure to be perfect. All of who you are will be allowed to enter our sacred space. Coming from a heart-centered place, I will hold you in the highest regard and trust your inner wisdom to guide us to exactly where we need to go and toward what we need to uncover. While I won’t pretend to have all the answers, I will work diligently to see you, to hear you, and to understand what you’re feeling and experiencing. I will work hard to uncover your brilliant inner wisdom to find the answers that are unique to your desires. While you may not realize it now, you are the expert and I am your guide. In my eyes, you're already whole and healed.
