What was your path to becoming a therapist?
With a background in mental health counseling and art therapy, I aim to provide guidance and tools through both verbal and nonverbal approaches. In a world that can be so chaotic, it’s easy to lose touch with ourselves and our bodies, all too often finding ourselves at a loss for words when trying to communicate to those closest to us the pain and stress we are experiencing. I believe that in order to enrich our lives, we need to approach life in a holistic way. By integrating both the mind and body, we can begin to observe, identify, and break through the emotional roadblocks that were long ago rooted in your life, paving the way toward balance and happiness.
What should someone know about working with you?
To help you reach your full potential mentally and physically, I believe it is important that you feel in control and set the agenda. Each session will be carefully tailored to fit what you would like to work on. My goal is to work WITH you. Together, we can begin to identify your goals and what’s standing in your way.
What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?
Telehealth has opened doors to millions of people. Many people have been apprehensive about engaging in therapy for decades but with telehealth, that hesitation seems to be disappearing. Suddenly, we're able to seek help through a few simple clicks from the comfort of our own homes. The stigma of seeking mental health counseling appears to be decreasing every day as we all push ourselves to be our best selves.
