“Having always been the go-to friend for advice, I decided to turn my natural skills into professional skills by attending a specialized program.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
Having always been the go-to friend for advice, I decided to turn my natural skills into professional skills by attending a specialized program. I have worked in substance abuse and mental health treatment, crisis intervention units, and private practice. I am trained in EMDR and trauma-informed CBT, which allows me to work with trauma and co-create more supportive core beliefs with my clients.
What should someone know about working with you?
My therapy session is catered to my clients as individuals; I know that one-size-does-not-fit-all, and I find it most productive to learn about my client and create a plan for that specific person and their needs.
What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?
I love that therapy is becoming normalized in our society. Advancements like telehealth can make it accessible to more people.
