“My experiences in a dysfunctional family have informed my practice when dealing with addictions, codependency, and family systems therapy.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
Psychotherapy has always been my first career choice. My experiences in a dysfunctional family have informed my practice when dealing with addictions, codependency, and family systems therapy.
What should someone know about working with you?
My intake process takes into consideration family of origin issues, history of family addictions, and prior experiences in therapy. I gauge progress in therapy by the client's increase in levels of functioning, decrease in symptoms of depression, and general health and wellness.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
I continue to enroll in relevant mental health and addiction training seminars.
