Before becoming a therapist, I had a career in the corporate world and then ran a family business in Italy for 14 years. Although I didn’t come to therapy until later in life, I have been “in training” since my teens; reading voraciously and my own therapy helped me connect the dots of my own experience. My history also stimulated a long fascination with how the mind works, the processes behind becoming the best version of yourself, and living well. Working with my family was rewarding but challenging. As our dysfunctional dynamics resurfaced, I embarked on healing my family through further work on myself. It was in the spirit of people struggling together to heal their relationships and the resulting benefit to subsequent generations that I pursued a master’s in marriage and family therapy. My training and a deep understanding of the human experience inform my approach to therapy. I have completed training in Bowen family systems and level one of the Gottman Method for couples therapy.
