“I became a therapist to promote healing and transform lives.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I became a therapist to promote healing and transform lives. As a Latina woman, I want to help others reach their greatest potential. I’ve trained in CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, and narrative therapy and specialize in LGBTQ and SUD transformative practices utilizing body-positive mindfulness. I am also bilingual.
What should someone know about working with you?
I use a short psychosocial questionnaire to create a treatment plan that meets your individualized goals.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
I continue my ongoing training at the Sweet Institute and engage in an Eastern meditation practice to promote great care for my clients. I am also part of an amazing empowerment and strengths-based clinical community.
What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?
As a provider, I have learned the importance of teaching self-care and how the brain can create healing instead of disease.
