What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I believe that I was led by a higher power to be a therapist due to being naturally gifted in certain areas. I am a proud introvert who for many years tried to fit into an extroverted norm where I didn't belong. Today, I am committed to working on being the best version of myself that I can be. I'm also committed to journeying with you to the fulfillment of your goals.
What should someone know about working with you?
I enjoy people who are motivated to change, though I understand that lack of motivation is a symptom. I will always take your symptoms into consideration when working with you. We will treat them first with evidence-based best practices. I do not judge where you're at in your journey. I do like to give homework but if you don't like it, we can make modifications. We develop our treatment planning together.
How do your core values shape your approach to therapy?
My core values are honesty, commitment, and open-mindedness, which help me be genuine and provide feedback with integrity. I don't just follow up on tasks and projects; I follow through on them. I have travelled extensively and take a nonjudgmental approach to multiculturalism. No matter where I went in the world, the majority of the people were kind and considerate.
