“I know personally how wearing many hats in life gets challenging and how we can easily lose sight of our own health, wellbeing, and personal growth.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I have had the pleasure of working with children, adolescents, young adults, and older adults in various settings. I bring a knowledgeable background of the treatment offered from hospital, partial day treatment, outpatient mental health, and substance abuse settings. I also understand the healthcare system and how to locate resources. I know personally how wearing many hats in life gets challenging and how we can easily lose sight of our own health, wellbeing, and personal growth. I hope that we can work together to reach your goals and I look forward to the journey of each steppingstone to get you there!
What should someone know about working with you?
Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process; I offer an integrated approach, tailored to meet your individual needs. My years of education, experience, and training have included a specialized focus on anxiety, depression, relationship issues, anger management, addiction, self-esteem, and grief and loss.
What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?
People are seeking therapy now more than ever before. The option to receive therapy without leaving your home reaches people who may have not received traditional in-person therapy in the past. I am so compassionate about this movement and the evidence of reduced stigma I am observing among my peers. It is becoming more common to hear people say things like, "I need to speak to my therapist about this," or, "My therapist said.” I feel so fortunate to be a therapist and truly love what I do.
