Profile
“I hope to learn something new about you in each session, help you work toward your goals by providing out-of-session action plans, and further understand how your values can better serve you.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I am trained in acceptance and commitment therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. I started a private practice so I could work with LGBTQ+ individuals and couples. I love having the opportunity to work with my community and continue to learn from each person I work with.
What should someone know about working with you?
Therapy starts with a phone consultation. This is where I get to know a little about you and you get to know a little about my practice. Here we will determine if I am what you are looking for in a therapist. Afterwards, we will schedule an initial intake, which is a one-hour session where I get to know you a little more. Thereafter, I hope to learn something new about you in each session, help you work toward your goals by providing out-of-session action plans, and further understand how your values can better serve you.
How do your own core values shape your approach to therapy?
Values are how I shape therapy! I think, at a basic level, connection is so important! Personally, connection is my top value and we find connection everywhere. We find it within ourselves, our family, our friends, our partners, our community, nature, sports, and, of course, in therapy. I believe the connection you have with your therapist is really important in your growth and in the therapeutic process.
