Profile
“I think it is important to meet clients where they are and I strive to be empathetic, compassionate, and constantly curious so I can help guide clients through self-exploration.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I always wanted to be in a helping profession and growing up in a large family with many different dynamics led me to want to learn more about people's relationships with themselves and others. I believe I have always been a very grounded and empathetic person and I think these are important qualities in a therapist.
What should someone know about working with you?
I think it is important to meet clients where they are and I strive to be empathetic, compassionate, and constantly curious so I can help guide clients through self-exploration. It's important to note that progress isn't linear but showing up for yourself and being willing to go through the process of therapy is progress in itself.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
I love reading books suggested within the community as well as participating in supervision and group supervision within my practice. I love learning from others and gaining new perspectives.
How do your own core values shape your approach to therapy?
I believe that in order to live in a meaningful way, exploration of self, personal growth, and fostering relationships with those close to me are very important. I feel that I am constantly learning and evolving and I approach therapy that way as well.
