What was your path to becoming a mental health provider?

It was clear to me early on that being a compassionate ally by helping others understand their worth was my path to a rewarding life. I have dedicated my life to advocating for children, families, and women in the school system, local mental health communities, national agencies, and private practice. I've worked as a GAL advocate (representing children) and with Junior League programs (supporting human trafficking survivors, homeless pregnant women, food/diaper banks, grieving children, and domestic violence survivors). Being a therapist has been a gift, as this career allows me to witness positive changes and growth in the lives of all people and in our communities. We all deserve support and guidance and to be nurtured.
