“I've devoted my professional career to learning different evidence-based practices, regularly practicing them myself and being a resource to anyone who could benefit from having an ally.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I had lost touch with a childhood friend in high school and was devastated to lose her to mental illness. It became quickly apparent to me how necessary therapists are. I've devoted my professional career to learning different evidence-based practices, regularly practicing them myself and being a resource to anyone who could benefit from having an ally. I'm passionate about what I do and who I work with. My practice integrates a variety of therapy modalities tailored to the goals of the person I'm working with.
What should someone know about working with you?
Our first session is an intake session in which I will get to know more about you and your experiences. Together, we establish a plan with measurable objectives along with regular goal reviews throughout the process to make sure our work is accomplishing those objectives. At the end of each session, we determine different exercises that you would like to work on between sessions. I never judge or make you feel bad for not completing your assignment; our work together is truly judgment-free.
What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?
I appreciate the push toward telehealth for the flexibility it offers people. If someone is interested in therapy but is having anxiety about leaving their home, video sessions are available. If someone has an easier time being open without seeing the face of the therapist, audio sessions are available. With telehealth video and audio, a client can have a session safely and comfortably from their own home without having to factor in session commute time!

All people are capable of bringing about change; my role is to provide support and assist you in bringing about the changes you'd like to see, whether it's processing a traumatic experience, preventing panic attacks, or establishing a life worth living. Together, we can map out a course for identifying your goals and accomplishing them at your pace. Trained at Columbia University, my specialties include anxiety, panic, worries, fears, trauma, sadness, and depression. Our work together will be based on your current needs and working toward what you are hoping to process and accomplish through our sessions. Sessions look different depending on current needs. Sessions can include therapeutic conversations, discussing and practicing skills for problem-solving, alleviating symptoms, and increasing overall wellness. It would be my pleasure to work alongside you. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a session and I will be sure to get back to you as soon as I am able.
