Profile
“Diversity and respect are at the core of my practice; as a biracial clinician, I welcome and work effectively with everyone regardless of gender, ethnicity, and sexuality.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I originally intended to be a historian focused on understanding the past and exploring connections to current events in the hopes of constructing a better future. I realized after graduation that I wanted to do that work with individuals to make a personal impact.
What should someone know about working with you?
A good fit between the client and clinician is the essential factor in therapy. Because of this, I focus initial sessions on genuinely getting to know you, earning your trust, and fostering a nonjudgmental and supportive space. I believe we are a team exploring and addressing your problems and I always focus on your strengths. Our work will evolve as needed and can include a variety of approaches, such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), schema therapy, hypnotherapy, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).

How do your core values shape your approach to therapy?
Diversity and respect are at the core of my practice; as a biracial clinician, I welcome and work effectively with everyone regardless of gender, ethnicity, and sexuality. I never assume that I have had the same experiences as my clients; I believe in shaping our work together around your experience and your goals so that you can live your most authentic life.
