What was your path to becoming a mental health provider?

My personal journey through over a decade of recovery has equipped me with a unique skill set in guiding individuals and families through their paths to healing. Drawing from my experience in creating art for expression, I understand how feelings and insights emerge through this process. After graduating in 2007 from Loyola Marymount University, I worked in therapeutic day schools, PHP, IOP, and an outpatient private practice. My motivation to become a therapist stems from a deep-seated desire to help individuals ages 14 and up overcome obstacles and find enduring solutions for lives filled with fulfillment and well-deserved happiness.
