“As a globetrotting first-gen immigrant, I'm forever driven to provide culturally-sensitive and inclusive therapy to those who seek it.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I worked in corporate finance for almost a decade before becoming a clinical psychologist. This background allows me to provide counseling or coaching to a wide range of people, from corporate professionals to seriously mentally ill individuals. My own path to personal growth and healing influenced my decision to change careers. As a globetrotting first-gen immigrant, I'm forever driven to provide culturally-sensitive and inclusive therapy to those who seek it.
What should someone know about working with you?
There will be deep conversation from the start. Treatment with me is collaborative, person-centered, and as directive or non-directive as you want it to be. I draw mainly from psychodynamic, mindfulness, DBT, and CBT techniques. No subject will be taboo! If you're ready to take on the journey toward psychological growth and healing, we can tailor treatment to move at the pace you want.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
Keeping updated on culturally-sensitive evidenced-based treatment and assessments is one of my guiding principles. I attend conferences and seminars regularly. I also have extensive experience working in multidisciplinary settings and consult with other professionals as needed to guarantee my clients get the best help possible.
