What was your path to becoming a therapist?
Helping others has always been my drive; since I was a child, I envisioned myself on the social work path. At the age of 12, I volunteered in a nonprofit organization in my native country. This organization was well-known for helping the community. I enjoyed working with this organization very much and harnessing my passion. I have over 10 years of experience in case management as well.
What should someone know about working with you?
Building a trustful relationship with my clients is my number one goal. The intake process is smooth and simple and involves a collaborative process to learn more about the client and their needs.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
I am eager to keep learning and evolving in my career. Learning and improving help me assist my clients toward making positive changes. Therapy is collaborative work between the client and the therapist.
How do your core values shape your approach to therapy?
I was raised in a supportive and caring environment in which respect and love for others were priorities.
What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?
I really enjoy telehealth sessions and believe in this new form of therapy. It has been noted that clients are receptive to telehealth.
