Profile
“My medical training, natural empathy, and sharp intuition give me a unique ability to help others alleviate suffering and achieve their full potential.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I was drawn to psychiatry after working as a registered nurse in medicine, surgery, trauma, and intensive care, where I found myself addressing the emotional impact of my patients’ experiences in addition to treating their medical diagnoses. My medical training, natural empathy, and sharp intuition give me a unique ability to help others alleviate suffering and achieve their full potential.
What should someone know about working with you?
In the first session, we will meet to discuss your goals for therapy. We take a very relaxed, down-to-earth approach to the intake process — the focus is on getting to know you and building a relationship with you. Once we have a good idea of your needs, we will collaborate on a treatment plan and determine how often you want to be seen. From there, we will start meeting regularly.
What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?
No one can unlock their fullest potential without a strong support system. That’s why we also offer services for couples, families, teens, and children. Our practice believes in the power of families and communities to help craft a legacy of joy, healing, and empowerment in life. If you’re in Connecticut and you’re looking for services, we encourage you to contact us!
