Profile
“My style interweaves multiple therapeutic approaches, ranging from expressive therapies (e.g., art, music, poetry) to holistic body and mind-oriented treatments.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
As a program director at one of New York’s largest behavioral health units, I have vast experience passionately treating thousands of individuals, helping them in their recovery toward a life filled with joy and meaning.
What should someone know about working with you?
I specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety, and all trauma. My style interweaves multiple therapeutic approaches, ranging from expressive therapies (e.g., art, music, poetry) to holistic body and mind-oriented treatments. These approaches consist of breathing techniques, movement awareness, mindfulness, meditation, and traditional modalities such as talk therapy.
Have you done any research-based work that you found particularly exciting? How does it inform your practice today?
My specialty is EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), which has been successfully scientifically-proven to be effective in the treatment of complicated grief, disturbing memories, PTSD, performance anxiety, and many other conditions.
