“I strive for an outstanding level of therapeutic rapport.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I found my ultimate vocation in psychology, counseling, and coaching after working in Corporate America. My clients benefit from the fact that I bring a good amount of life experience as an engineer, computer programmer, business manager, corporate employee, entrepreneur, business owner, coach, and psychotherapist. They also benefit from my years of professional experience and my expertise in working with difficult decisions. I also have extensive experience with career development and with change.
What should someone know about working with you?
I work best with people who are committed to their own improvement. I bring a deep level of respect for each individual, as well as for their circumstances and history. In addition, I strive for an outstanding level of therapeutic rapport. I treat each client as an individual and I tailor my interventions and overall therapy to each individual, paying special attention to the person’s goals and what he/she may be more receptive to. In other words, I never use a cookie-cutter approach.
What is a good summary of what you have to offer?
I am a fully bilingual counselor (English and Spanish, spoken and written) with a multicultural background. I am also fully licensed to work at the independent level in the states of Texas and Illinois. In addition, I have more than ten years of postgraduate counseling experience (with over 16,000 therapy hours). I help individuals, couples, families, and organizations, drawing from my broad training, experience, and abilities (which include fields as diverse as technology, business, and psychology).
