“I feel blessed to be able to offer support to people experiencing loss, transition, and crisis.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
The field of social work was my calling from a young age but I didn't know this until my own life experiences led me to need the help of a social worker. From that point on, it was clear that I was meant to help others through difficult times. I feel blessed to be able to offer support to people experiencing loss, transition, and crisis.
What should someone know about working with you?
I'm always learning about new tools, including journaling, creative arts, worksheets/handouts, phone apps, and mindfulness-based strategies that can help my clients improve.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
I take courses annually to advance my training, including certificate programs and CEUs.
How do your own core values shape your approach to therapy?
I value creating safe places for people where they can be truly seen and heard. Everyone deserves care, compassion, and respect, especially when they are experiencing difficulty coping with life demands.
What is a quote that you use in your work with clients that is helpful to their healing?
“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” - Viktor Frankl
“Everyone deserves care, compassion, and respect, especially when they are experiencing difficulty coping with life demands.”
