“I work with individuals on issues that include depression, anxiety, crisis management, life transitions, stigma, addictive behaviors, aging, chronic illness, and loss and bereavement.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
Since 1992, I have worked in the field of social work. I have helped socially-disenfranchised individuals and communities through direct clinical practice and community engagement. Since 2008, I have been in private practice and in 2018, I returned to school for my BSN. I currently work part-time serving chemically-dependent individuals.
What should someone know about working with you?
My work is structured around an honest and trusting therapeutic relationship, something I build in partnership with clients so they can safely explore obstacles to self-determination, fulfillment, and happiness. Through a blended therapeutic approach, I support clients as they create a life on their own terms.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
To continue to provide the best services possible, I actively pursue knowledge through reading, continuing education, and consulting with other professionals in the field.
Who do you typically work with?
I work with individuals on issues that include depression, anxiety, crisis management, life transitions, stigma, addictive behaviors, aging, chronic illness, and loss and bereavement. I offer long-term psychotherapy and short-term counseling to adults of all ages. I approach each therapy relationship individually, so treatment meets your specific needs.
