“I am passionate about helping my clients create meaningful and lasting change.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I began working as a certified substance abuse counselor to help individuals and families deal with substance and process addictions. As rewarding as this experience was, I decided to pursue my master’s in psychology as well as my LMHC in order to effectively work with a wide range of client needs. Most recently, I pursued training as an EMDR therapist, which allows me to use the most cutting-edge theories and tools to help clients dealing with trauma.
What should someone know about working with you?
I am passionate about helping my clients create meaningful and lasting change. I’m an LGBTQ+ ally and embrace change and diversity. Working with me will be an engaging, dynamic and collaborative experience. I take a highly empathetic and interpersonal approach and integrate EMDR, CBT and other evidence based techniques.I believe that successful therapeutic outcomes are built on a strong collaborative alliance between therapist and client. I wish you success on your journey of growth and discovery and look forward to working with you.
What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?
I am excited about teletherapy and how it can be effectively used to help clients who cannot engage in face-to-face treatment. I am also excited about the conjunction of trauma theory and tools, such as EMDR and internal family systems (IFS), to help clients transform themselves and help the world become a more compassionate place.
“I take a highly empathetic and interpersonal approach to therapy and integrate many techniques from the CBT, psychodynamic, behavioral, existential, and spiritual traditions.”
