Profile
“I was led to my specialties by my own personal experiences as a healthcare provider, veteran, parent, and partner.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I have worked in the health and human services field for over 20 years in a variety of roles and settings, but I always knew that I wanted to be a therapist. My professional experiences have helped guide me to my areas of focus. I was led to my specialties by my own personal experiences as a healthcare provider, veteran, parent, and partner.
What should someone know about working with you?
I'm a holistic therapist who views counseling as one of many tools for achieving overall mental, emotional, and physical wellness. My approach is integrative, person-centered, and collaborative. My goal is to help clients achieve peace, balance, and optimal wellness.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
I frequently participate in continuing education courses related to addiction, sleep medicine, trauma-informed care, health and wellness, and various counseling modalities. I am a practitioner of yoga and meditation and a NASM-certified personal trainer. I am currently pursuing 500-hour yoga teacher training and level one iRest yoga nidra meditation teacher training.
“My goal is to help clients achieve peace, balance, and optimal wellness.”
