Therapy licenses aren't like driver's licenses — each state has its own set of rules. To offer care, a provider needs to be licensed in the state you're located in when sessions are happening.

Profile
“I am a cognitive-oriented therapist who works to promote self-awareness by helping clients understand the connection among thoughts, feelings, and behaviors through evidence-based techniques.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
Throughout my life, my empathetic nature has always driven me to provide support and compassion to others without judgment. After receiving my undergrad in psychology at Roanoke College, I earned a master’s degree at Fordham University School of Social Work. Since obtaining my master’s degree, I have spent over 10 years in direct practice with clients and have acquired a clinical license. I am passionate about my work and truly value the opportunity my clients give me to be a part of their journey toward wellness.
What should someone know about working with you?
I am a cognitive-oriented therapist who works to promote self-awareness by helping clients understand the connection among thoughts, feelings, and behaviors through evidence-based techniques. The initial evaluation involves a comprehensive assessment of your mental health history and the development of an initial treatment plan. Sessions with me will be interactive and collaborative with regular check-ins to ensure we are on the right path. I have vast experience in treating a wide array of mental health diagnoses and specialize in mood disorders, anxiety, and trauma.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
I continue to learn and grow in this field by participating in a multitude of continuing education opportunities, which include workshops, podcasts, videos, conferences, and specialized trainings. I look for opportunities to learn from and collaborate with other mental health professionals. I also enjoy reading books related to therapeutic techniques, strategies, and other mental health topics.
