Profile
“I have specialized training in several evidence-based practices, such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), CPT, prolong exposure, dialectical behavior therapy in action, and SMART Recovery.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
My path to becoming a therapist was not linear and thus provides me the unique perspective to accept that each client’s path to healing is their own and may not be linear either.
What should someone know about working with you?
I have specialized training in several evidence-based practices, such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), CPT, prolong exposure, dialectical behavior therapy in action, and SMART Recovery. I ensure my toolbox is full and able to assist the mental health needs of all my clients.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
I keep a growth mindset and I am eager to collaborate. I attend training and conferences yearly and I subscribe to the most respected journals and professional organizations, such as the American Counseling Association. This ensures that I am updated on the latest evidence-based treatment.
How do your own core values shape your approach to therapy?
My core values influence my empathy, advocacy, compassion, and attention to each client's individual story, giving them the time and space to heal.
