“My therapeutic practice offers a judgment-free zone where every experience is valued and taken as a strength and opportunity to exercise reflective improvements.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
After working in a variety of settings throughout my career, I made the transition from in-person therapy to telehealth in order to address the growing needs of clients wherever they are located without limitations. My therapeutic practice offers a judgment-free zone where every experience is valued and taken as a strength and opportunity to exercise reflective improvements. My goal as a therapist is to serve as a guide to support you through your emotional, physical, and spiritual journey. I’m certified in mindfulness meditation, which allows connectivity with the present and awareness to our senses to relieve symptoms related to stress, depression, anxiety, and trauma.
What should someone know about working with you?
Clients are offered a free 15-minute consultation to ensure telehealth and my services are the right fits for you. Once it is determined you are a good candidate for telehealth and I am a good fit for what you need, you will receive intake documents to complete and we will review these in our first session together while discussing your goals for therapy. Our time together is a journey and we will identify our destination. Throughout our journey, you may receive assignments that help you explore and uncover patterns and thought processes we want to reframe and reconstruct. I like my clients to be in the driver’s seat as I serve as the guide throughout their journey. It is important for progress that we collaborate and work together, identifying areas of strength and improvement that will help us arrive at your destination.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
By providing a warm, open, and collaborative therapeutic relationship, my client-centered approach revolves around client’s strengths to help them overcome obstacles. I enjoy attending all kinds of different continuing education training to broaden my knowledge and expand my treatment approaches to benefit my clients. Reviewing literature and collaborating with other providers in the field offers me the opportunity to gain new perspectives and expand my horizon. Every moment is a new opportunity to grow and never stop learning.
