Profile
“I work for the client and my only goal is to help them get a better understanding of themselves while improving their overall quality of life.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I started discovering a passion for psychology when my grandfather developed dementia and because of the struggles my uncle had with substance abuse. I also wanted to get a better feel for my own anxieties and how I could learn to cope with them. I wanted to get a better understanding of human behavior as well. Now with that experience in hand, I'm using my knowledge to help those dealing with anxiety, depression, and anger management.
What should someone know about working with you?
I work for the client and my only goal is to help them get a better understanding of themselves while improving their overall quality of life.
How do your core values shape your approach to therapy?
I take a very eclectic approach to therapy. While my focus is on cognitive behavioral therapy, I will use whatever is at my disposal to help my client. I don't believe in the old fashion way of doing therapy; I believe that therapists aren't just mental health experts but also client advocates and support systems.
