Profile
“My research interests and pursuits include anger and aggression as well as depressive symptoms experienced during adolescence.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I received my MA in psychology and my PhD in clinical-school psychology from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. During my graduate instruction, I completed a four-year specialization at Hofstra's Institute for the Study and Treatment of Anger and Aggression and acquired much of my fundamental clinical skills. In addition to treating those presenting with symptoms of anger, I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with depression and anxiety in individual, family, and group contexts. My research interests and pursuits include anger and aggression as well as depressive symptoms experienced during adolescence.
What should someone know about working with you?
I view psychotherapy as a collaborative and pragmatic process, commensurate with a cognitive behavioral theoretical orientation that guides my approach to treatment.
