“Everyone needs someone to listen without judgment and help work through issues that keep us from being our best selves, and I strive to be that person in a way that best works for the client.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
We all want to be happy, but that looks different for each of us. Helping people find their "happy" is what inspired me to become a therapist. Past experiences, relationship difficulties, and the way we view the world can all contribute to the amount of satisfaction we have in life. My main goal in therapy is to work with clients to overcome the challenges that keep them from having the lives they desire.
What should someone know about working with you?
Everyone needs someone to listen without judgment and help work through issues that keep us from being our best selves, and I strive to be that person in a way that best works for the client. I help clients clarify their goals for therapy and use a variety of resources (including homework for those who desire it) to help achieve the goals clients have set for themselves.
What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?
I'm glad to see that society is beginning to understand the importance of mental health and the way it impacts us all. Technology has given us new ways to make therapy accessible to everyone, and I am glad to be part of this broader access. I enjoy finding new and improved ways to help others reach their full potential.
