“My counseling style is warm, direct, engaging, and interactive; I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I do not believe in labeling people.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I received my master's degree in counseling psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University. I am a licensed mental health counselor and certified addiction professional for the state of Florida. I believe some of the challenges in the world today have left people hurting, confused, and feeling lost. These feelings often manifest as depression, addictions, and compulsions, but these are problems that can be diminished with proper treatment from caring professionals. My training and experience allow me to be this type of caring professional. I am excited and motivated to utilize my clinical expertise and leadership skills in the continuing care and support of people who are hurting and their families.
What should someone know about working with you?
My counseling style is warm, direct, engaging, and interactive; I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I do not believe in labeling people. My approach combines cognitive behavioral, client-centered, motivational interviewing, and rational-emotive counseling.
How do your core values shape your approach to therapy?
I have the character and values to succeed in this field by God’s grace. As an employee, I believe that I have the capacity to demonstrate tremendous leadership as well as serve as a spirited team player. I have been blessed with the ability to interact with clients and counsel them with respect and dignity. Due to my upbringing, my work ethic demonstrates the value of giving 100% in all areas of the business arena and personal life. In addition, it allows me to set great examples and act as a role model for other employees and the clients I serve. I believe that, through the grace of God, I can go above and beyond without prompting and do whatever is necessary to achieve the task at hand.
