“I approach each client in a flexible manner, tailoring my treatments to their emotional needs within the context of their presentation.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I absolutely love and enjoy what I do. Since I was young, I listened to friends and loved ones and gave them emotional support, so going to school to become a therapist was only natural. I previously worked in different mental health settings, such as mental health clinics, private practice, and nonprofits.
What should someone know about working with you?
I work collaboratively with my clients to help them develop and work toward their goals. I approach each client in a flexible manner, tailoring my treatments to their emotional needs within the context of their presentation. My intake process involves some questions about my client’s experiences regarding what they’ve gone through. After identifying the presenting problem, I usually come up with a unique individual treatment plan. I like people in general so I can work with anyone from any cultural background.
What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?
I’m very excited about telehealth because individuals can access mental health support from the comfort of their home or an outdoor setting that they choose. We are all busy due to city life, and teletherapy allows clients to save time and attend to their other needs.
What is your theoretical background and specialization area?
I’m a cognitive behavioral therapist specializing in anxiety, social anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life changes, and self-esteem problems.
