What was your path to becoming a mental health provider?

I have always been curious about people and behavior. My interest in psychology and human behavior began in eighth grade when I took my first psychology class. I first obtained an undergraduate degree in addiction counseling and spent many years working in treatment centers. I then opened up my own practice, facilitating groups for folx dealing with legal issues.
