“I believe in a strengths-based and collaborative approach that starts wherever the client is at.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
Ever since I was a child, I enjoyed helping people even if it just meant keeping them company. It was natural for me to go into the social work field so I could help people as a career. I have worked in community-based, hospital, outpatient, and private practice settings. I learn from the people I work with as much as they learn from me and that's what provides me the drive to continue to do what I do.
What should someone know about working with you?
I believe in a strengths-based and collaborative approach that starts wherever the client is at. Together we will identify issues, create goals, and solve problems using strategies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based approaches. Every session with me is tailored to the client's individual needs.
How do your own core values shape your approach to therapy?
My own core values shape my approach to therapy because they act as a compass always guiding me in the right direction.
