Profile
“I am told that I am compassionate yet direct and to the point.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I was a preschool teacher and as I observed different behaviors in children, I became very curious about their interactions. This curiosity led me to research human behavior and I decided to go back to school. One interest led to another and I found my niche in understanding the psychology of adult behavior.
What should someone know about working with you?
I am told that I am compassionate yet direct and to the point. I like my clients to understand what their behavioral patterns look like and how those patterns may interfere with their goals, as insight motivates change!
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
Even though I am highly experienced and trained, my skills are enhanced every day by my clients. I learn from every client and I am grateful for that experience. I also attend various workshops and continuing education classes and meet with colleagues to stay updated and informed.
