“As a therapist, I am determined to guarantee my clients have a safe and compassionate environment to promote healing and growth.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
From a very young age, I was driven to study human behavior and the reasons behind why people feel and act certain ways when faced with challenges. My path to becoming a therapist started when I realized I wanted to help others in the best way I knew possible. Mental health focuses on the person as a whole and takes all factors into consideration. My experience comes from working with a diverse population and involves a range of diagnoses in an underprivileged community where mental health treatment is in high demand. My passion for helping others excel through their own journeys continues to grow each day. I believe that everyone is capable of making changes with the right guidance and support.
What should someone know about working with you?
As a therapist, I am determined to guarantee my clients have a safe and compassionate environment to promote healing and growth. I bring optimism, enthusiasm, and compassion to my practice and I truly believe these qualities provide a safe, therapeutic environment for clients to heal. My therapeutic approach is altered based on the client’s needs. It is essential to ensure that the sessions flow at the comfort level of the client. Whether it be a client’s first time in therapy or they have had past experiences, the client should feel safe and comfortable with their therapist. I work in collaboration with the client to identify their goals and construct a plan of treatment that feels most comfortable to the individual.
What would you tell a potential client who is hesitant to begin the therapeutic experience?
Seeking support through therapy can be an agonizing process, but you have already taken the first step in the right direction. When we explore some of our most challenging thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a neutral individual, we become capable of understanding ourselves better while promoting self-growth. Change can be hard but it is possible for all of us. I can help you uncover all the barriers that arise in our lives and create change.
