“Working in New York City for the past 20 plus years of my life has given me the opportunity to learn so much about diversity, injustice, trauma and, yes, the resilience of the soul.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
Growing up in a dictatorship and experiencing migration at an early age impacted my childhood; that's part of my story. I became interested in understanding systems, people, groups, societies, countries, and their stories. Working in New York City for the past 20 plus years of my life has given me the opportunity to learn so much about diversity, injustice, trauma and, yes, the resilience of the soul.
What should someone know about working with you?
I usually ask my new clients not to worry if they don't know where to begin. Wherever you start sharing your story is exactly where we need to begin. Just breathe!
