Profile
“I have a friendly, client-centered philosophy that combines therapy with a commitment to total personal and mental wellbeing.”
What should someone know about working with you?
I have a friendly, client-centered philosophy that combines therapy with a commitment to total personal and mental wellbeing. I help clients produce results with confidence and satisfaction, using evidence-based and cutting-edge techniques. By combining various therapies into customized treatments, clients can achieve specific and measurable results that are time-bound and realistic.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
I received extensive training in CBT-based treatment, interpersonal therapy, and psychodynamic-oriented therapy as an extern in Bellevue Hospital's Bilingual Treatment Program and as an intern at Weill Cornell Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center. During my clinical training, I focused primarily on child, adolescent, and family psychotherapy as well as psychological and personality testing. In addition, I spent a number of years practicing as a psychologist in a psychiatric emergency room, an adult inpatient unit, and an outpatient clinic at Jacobi Medical Center where I also supervised interns and externs in individual psychotherapy and testing. I participate in several therapist consultation groups that cover various topics, including Gottman techniques for couple’s treatment, LGBTQ2+-affirming practices, child development strategies, career coaching, and addiction.
